Norway international Odegaard signed for the Bernabeu club in January 2015 as a 16-year-old but is not part of new manager Zinedine Zidane’s plans.Odegaard was linked with a move to Championship clubs Aston Villa and Derby last summer.However, it now looks like Champions League semi-finalists Ajax, who humbled Real Madrid in this season’s competition, have taken an interest in Odegaard as they prepare to lose a number of their star players this summer. According to De Telegraaf, Odegaard has been identified as a top target with his asking price set to fall to just 17million.He has shown he is suited to life in the Netherlands having spent 18 months on loan at Heerenveen.Odegaard was handed an 80,000-a-week contract when he first signed for Real having been pursued by numerous elite European clubs.Things haven’t worked out for Odegaard at Real Madrid2
