The tactical switch came under scrutiny following Chelseas 3-1 defeat to Tottenham last weekend, where Sarris preferred defensive-midfielder, Jorginho, was caught out on numerous occasions. On Wednesday, Sarri explained his belief that Kante is not technically good enough to play in that role. That is despite the Frenchman winning two Premier League titles and the World Cup playing in central midfield, and along the way gaining the reputation as one of the worlds most complete players in that position.Kante recently signed a new 300,000-a-week contract with Chelsea, as the club looked to dissuade the host of clubs lining up moves for the 27-year-old.But Cascarino believes the midfielder may look to leave Stamford Bridge regardless of his new deal if he continues to be overlooked for what is clearly his best position on the pitch.Asked for his verdict on the managers remarks, he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: I dont think Sarris comments about Kante being more technical were too much to be concerned about.Maurizio Sarri says playing NGolo Kante in central midfield does not fit his system but is he wasted in his new more attacking role?2

I think the bigger issue with Kante is they have given him a new contract because they know so many clubs are sniffing around him, but hes being played out of position. You feel hes wasted.I think certainly PSG would be in for him as well as other clubs, and why wouldnt they? Hes the best at his position in the world, without a doubt, for me.Thats why he signed a new deal, but I dont believe it will be enough to keep him there if Kante plays in that position all season.I think by the end of the season he might have had enough, knowing hes a far better player in the positions he is more accustomed to.Listen back to Tony Cascarino on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast IN FULL above
