They were met with a firm stance of ‘no’, with Christensen regarded as one of the best young centre-halves in the world.Despite that, the 22-year-old has started just one Premier League game this season for the Blues, with Maurizio Sarri preferring David Luiz.That is a complete role reversal from last season, with former boss Antonio Conte naming him in his starting XI 23 times in the top flight, with Luiz then frozen out of his plans.It is that lack of game time which has alerted some of Europe’s elite, with Christensen himself desperate for more regular football.2
