The England international’s performances had been questioned in those two matches, against Chelsea and Arsenal, both of which Spurs failed to win.He scored a calamitous own-goal in the 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge, before Gunners winger Alex Iwobi gave him a torrid time in the 1-1 draw at Wembley on Saturday. Pochettino also announced that Dele Alli has returned to first-team training.Alli is in the final stages of his recovery from a hamstring injury, but does not travel to Germany with the rest of the squad.Harry Winks and Eric Dier do travel, and both men will be assessed ahead of the game.Meanwhile, Spurs boss Pochettino insists his team will look to win the game on Tuesday, rather than protect their 3-0 lead.“We need to play like always we play, trying to win, that is important,” he said.“We need to forget the first leg, it’s important to be aggressive, fight from the beginning, high tempo, that is going to be the key.“We know Borussia Dortmund is a great team, top of the Bundesliga because they deserve to be there.“It’s going to be tough. They will start game aggressive and try to push us deeper.“We need to show the same aggressiveness, play our way. Winning 3-0 at Wembley is not important tomorrow.”

Liverpool ran riot when they visited Porto in last season’s Champions League

They buckled up for the ride, a meagre 35 per cent of possession on the night and all that mattered was the win. Then as Tottenham Hotspur gathered everything for one last push, that old Champions League assassin Divock Origi, a substitute again, scored the second to kill a final which had barely come alive.
