West Ham United transfer news: Six possible replacements for Marko Arnautovic
West Ham United fans may have to face up to life without Marko Arnautovic. The forward appeared to wave goodbye to supporters when he was substituted during the 1-0 win against Arsenal.Earlier in the week, the Austrian had been the subject of a bid from a Chinese Super League club and his agent and brother has told talkSPORT he wished to make the transfer.Marko Arnautovic could be on his way out of West Ham7

The move could see the Hammer receive double the 24million they spent on the former Stoke City star but former player Frank McAvennie reckons they should hold out for at least 60million.West Ham are now likely to be preparing plans for the possibility of Arnautovic leaving but who can you sign to replace a player who has scored 18 Premier League goals in a year and a half?talkSPORT.com takes a look at six possibilities…

Michy Batshuayi (Chelsea)

Set to return from a dismal loan spell at Valencia, another Belgian who could interest West Ham would be Batshuayi. Possibly available long-term, as well as temporarily, he could fit the bill at the London Stadium if Marko Arnautovic leaves. His pace on the counter as well as his general impishness, which he showed at Borussia Dortmund could complement a midfield including the likes of Felipe Anderson.7

Divock Origi (Liverpool)

He may have netted for the Reds against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup but hes still very much only a fringe player at Anfield. Several clubs, including Wolves are considering January offers but the main problem currently appears to be Liverpools willingness to sell. Already bemoaning injury issues, it seem manager Jurgen Klopp could keep the Belgian in case of emergencies on Merseyside.7

Callum Wilson (Bournemouth)

Chelsea have been the main club linked with England international Wilson but we wouldnt be surprised if the Hammers consider a play even if Eddie Howe reckons the striker isnt for sale. His injury record, though, could well dissuade the West Ham board given their experiences since signing Andy Carroll. A player who has had serious knee problems and is about to turn 27 might not be the best option right now, especially as he would command a big fee.7

Mbaye Diagne (Kasimpasa)

The Senegalese striker isnt too well known in Europe still but has ice in his veins over in Turkey right now. His impressive composure and poachers instinct have seen him score a sensational 20 goals in 17 league games. It should be noted several have been penalties but this further shows his coolness in front of goal. Chelsea have been linked recently but moving to West Ham may be an easier jump for the late bloomer, aged 27.7

Christian Kouame (Genoa)

All the talk may be about the clinical Krzysztof Piatek who has 13 goals for the Serie A side but Kouame is also worthy of a look from West Ham. Able to work well with aerial balls while also working well in the channels, Kouame might be the all-rounder the Hammers need to replace Arnautovic. The 21-year-olds agent has already admitted there is interest from abroad as well as around Italy.7

Moussa Marega (Porto)

A former West Ham target, Marega is still amongst the goals for his current club but it seems it would take a fee of around 36million to snap him up. Another 27-year-old, Marega is an experienced performer at the highest level having netted five times in six Champions League matches this season. But whether he would see a switch to the London Stadium as beneath him is a possibility given his prolific form in Portugal across recent seasons.7
